On March 8th, we commemorate International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to honoring the achievements of women globally and advocating for gender equality. It serves as a reminder of the progress we’ve made and the work that lies ahead in ensuring that women everywhere have equal rights, opportunities, and representation in all aspects of society.
In our collective journey towards gender equality, it is imperative that we all take collective responsibility in advocating for and supporting women’s rights. We must actively challenge stereotypes, dismantle systemic barriers, and promote inclusive policies and practices that enable women to thrive in every sphere of life. By championing women’s empowerment and equality, we not only uplift individual women but also strengthen our communities and societies as a whole.
Within the European Marketing and Management Association (EUMMAS), we are committed to promoting the rights and inclusion of women in all facets of society. Our Association recognizes the importance of diversity and equality as fundamental principles that drive our mission forward. As part of our commitment, we have established the EUMMAS Women’s Forum, a specialized focus group dedicated to empowering and advancing women in science, academia, and business.
The EUMMAS Women’s Forum stands as a beacon of inclusivity and diversity within our Association, providing a platform for women to thrive, collaborate, and contribute to our overarching goals. Through initiatives like networking programs and mentorship opportunities, the forum fosters meaningful connections and professional development for women from diverse backgrounds.
One of the cornerstones of our Association’s values is encapsulated in our values: Ethics, Diversity, Equality, and Sustainability (EDES). Equality, in particular, is a guiding principle that underscores our commitment to addressing gender disparities and promoting inclusivity within our community.
