EUMMAS and EuroMed Academy Launch Their First Joint Doctoral Colloquium

EUMMAS has marked an important milestone in its international academic cooperation through its first collaboration with the EuroMed Academy of Business Annual Conference, hosting the inaugural EUMMAS Doctoral Colloquium as part of the conference programme.

The initiative brought together doctoral researchers from different academic backgrounds, providing an international platform for presenting research, receiving constructive feedback, exchanging ideas, and developing professional connections within the global research community.

The colloquium sessions were chaired by Janka Táborecká from Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, and Firdaus Abdullah from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. Their academic guidance contributed to a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment in which emerging scholars could discuss their research and benefit from international perspectives.

EUMMAS extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Yioula Melanthiou from Cyprus University of Technology, whose commitment and initiative were instrumental in bringing the colloquium to life, and to Prof. Demetris Vrontis from the University of Nicosia, Executive President of the EuroMed Academy, for his support in making this collaboration possible.

The successful introduction of the EUMMAS Doctoral Colloquium represents a promising step towards strengthening cooperation between EUMMAS and the EuroMed Academy, particularly in supporting early-career researchers, promoting international academic exchange, and encouraging research collaboration across institutions and countries.

Looking Ahead: EuroMed 2027 in Crete

Building on this positive experience, EUMMAS looks forward to opportunities for continued cooperation at the 20th EuroMed Academy Annual Conference, scheduled to take place in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, from 22 to 24 September 2027.

EUMMAS warmly encourages academics, doctoral researchers, and representatives of its member institutions to participate in the upcoming conference and contribute to this growing international academic community.

The inaugural colloquium has laid a valuable foundation for future joint initiatives, reflecting the shared commitment of EUMMAS and the EuroMed Academy to advancing research, supporting young scholars, and strengthening international academic cooperation.
