International partners strengthen cooperation in developing a joint European Master’s programme in responsible management and sustainable transitions.
The European Marketing and Management Association (EUMMAS) participated in the ROMST project meeting held in Mirandela, Portugal, hosted by the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB). The two-day gathering brought together representatives of the international consortium working on the development of an innovative joint European Master’s programme.
ROMST – Responsible Organisations’ Management for Sustainable Transitions – is an international project funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM) initiative. Coordinated by the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines – Université Paris-Saclay, the project brings together European and international higher education institutions and EUMMAS as a non-academic partner.
The project aims to develop a new generation of academic programmes that prepare future managers and leaders to address the challenges of ecological, social, and digital transitions. Its interdisciplinary approach integrates responsible leadership, business ethics, sustainability, innovation, and organisational transformation.
The meeting in Mirandela provided an opportunity for consortium partners to strengthen their cooperation, exchange perspectives, and continue their joint work towards the development of the future Master’s programme. Beyond the academic discussions, the gathering contributed to building stronger institutional relationships and reinforcing the consortium’s shared commitment to international education and sustainable development.
EUMMAS brings a distinctive professional and international perspective to the project, connecting academic cooperation with the needs of businesses, organisations, and wider society. Through its international network and activities, the Association contributes to strengthening dialogue between academia and professional communities and supporting the development of educational initiatives that respond to emerging global challenges.
The Association extends its sincere appreciation to the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, particularly Professors Sónia Nogueira and Ana Sofia Coelho, for their hospitality and excellent organisation of the meeting.
EUMMAS looks forward to continuing its active participation in ROMST and contributing to the successful development of this international academic initiative.
